Learning Experience Designer

Louisa joined the TLTC in June 2018 as a Learning Experience Designer. In her role, she provides instructional consulting, support, and training, learning technologies support and implementation, and instructional design support. Louisa is very passionate about active learning, instructor presence, and helping instructors create an engaging learning environment for students. 


Prior to joining the TLTC, Louisa was an instructional designer at Penn State University. In her role, she collaborated with faculty to design, develop, and revise courses for the online Criminal Justice and Homeland Security programs via Penn State World Campus. Louisa also provided instructional design support for face-to-face, online, and blended courses offered via Penn State Harrisburg. In addition, she facilitated faculty workshops on Respondus, best practices for teaching online, Canvas LMS, and assisted faculty with implementing educational technologies into their courses. 


Louisa holds a B.S. in Applied Behavioral Sciences and an M.Ed. in Training and Development, both from Penn State Harrisburg. She is a Quality Matters course reviewer and completed the Online Learning Consortium’s Instructional Designer Certification.
